discovery+ : STREAM SOMETHING REAL

discovery+ is the streaming home of true crime, paranormal, home design, food, travel, relationships, adventure, nature, and so more. It is our global priority, and my role as General Manager role was to bring it to Southeast Asia.

There was a lot of planning and strategy and pitching that went into selecting the Philippines as the first worldwide expansion market, which I led. I also built and oversaw the global team bringing the service to life, working across planning, pricing, content strategy, research, product, distribution, partnerships, marketing - pretty much everything as the market lead.

Here are some highlights:
- Being the international first market green-lit; also the first to launch
- Creating a new data analysis methodology to create the local content and originals strategy
- Securing rights to the highly anticipated Drag Race Philippines
- Building a partnership with Globe, the #1 telco in the Philippines

Some content I directed and produced, featured on this website like Worst Vacation Ever, You Have Been Warned Asia, Surviving Borneo are available on the service. Very few people have made shows and also built the service they reside on.

The service was made with love and is meticulously loaded with some of the best content in the world including Shark Tank, Parts Unknown, Pawn Stars, Ghost Adventures, Masterchef, 90 Day Fiancé, and so much more.
